90.3 The Rock and our Tuesday night local music show, “Locals Only,” present The Big Deuce live at Barley’s Taproom in the Old City for the WUTK Welcome Back Bash Friday, August 20th. Tickets are available at the door.
Local funk/hip-hop group The Big Deuce brings its high-energy show back to Barley’s. Their song “Who Got the Mike” and others can be heard on The Rock.Opening the show is Greeneville’s Franky B. and the New Chronic Dream.Members of both bands were formerly in the band Skinny Little White Girl.

90.3 The Rock and The Square Room present the 2nd Sound Off Battle of the Bands Competition taking place the first Wednesday night of each month October 2010-March 2011.
You can pick up your application NOW at the Square Room, and the deadline for submission is Monday, August 30th at 5p.m. at the Square Room. Applications will be available online and at the WUTK radio studios soon, so stay tuned for more info on the competition.
WUTK sponsors 2010 Brewers Jam Saturday, October 16th at World's Fair Park!
WUTK is proud to be a sponsor of the 2010 Knoxville Brewer's Jam taking place Saturday, October 16th at World's Fair Park. Along with the celebration of handmade craft beers from over 30 local and regional breweries from around the south, there will also be live music from Shortwave Society, the Kevin Abernathy Band, Same As It Ever Was, and the Drunk Uncles.
Tickets can now be purchased at the Preservation Pub, Leaf and Ale, Downtown Grill & Brewery, Barley's, the Bearden Beer Market, and Disc Exchange.

90.3 The Rock and our Tuesday night jam-band show “Fire On the Mountain” proudly present AN EVENING WITH DARK STAR ORCHESTRA live at the Valarium Thursday, September 9th. Doors open at 8p.m. and tickets are now available at www.thevalarium.com.
DARK STAR ORCHESTRA’S shows are built around the extensive catalogue of the Grateful Dead. The band plays a series of songs performed throughout the Dead’s thirty-year career the same way a composer would interpret the music of classical composers.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

90.3 The Rock welcomes Band of Horses to the Tennessee Theatre Saturday, October 16th. Doors open at 7p.m. and tickets are on sale now at all tickets unlimited outlets, by phone at 656-1200 or online at www.knoxvilletickets.com.
Led by lead singer Ben Bridwell, Seattle's Band of Horses is touring to support the release of their latest album Infinite Arms. The band blends country roots sounds with indie rock. Songs from the new album can be heard on The Rock, including the single "Laredo."
Tickets are $31, plus applicable fees.
