90.3 The Rock encourages our listeners to support the Alliance for Knoxville Arts’ mission to provide free visual and performance art instruction to Knoxville’s youth.  Local musicians, actors, painters, videographers, and others will teach Knoxville youth, ages ten to fourteen, promoting their love for the arts, as well as their growth and confidence.  Instructions will take place 5 days a week during the evening hours, and all students will be required to attend school in Knox County to participate in these instructions.  The youth will have access to professional equipment, and will perform and display their work to the public in a minimum of four shows a year.  Instruction will be provided at no cost to the families of the children.

Instructions will take place at Midtown Arts Center at 509 Cooper Street in downtown Knoxville, providing a safe place for instruction and shows.  WUTK encourages our listeners to please help make the Alliance For Knoxville Arts a reality by taking a few moments of your day to vote for this worthwhile project on line at refresh everything dot com forward slash alliance for Knoxville arts.  There are links on the WUTK facebook page, and at wutk radio dot com.
