Get to Know Your Host:

What is your DJ Moniker?
I just go by Jill. :)

Bio:
under construction.

How would you describe your show?
FotM is a three hour audible journey bringing you the best live cuts of jam tunes you can hear nowhere else on the dial in Knoxville.

How did you become involved with your show?
After being a volunteer DJ for a semester, Benny (station manager) asked me to stick around in the Music Department. I'd expressed my interest in jam bands, and just by some twist of fate there was an opening. I met with the current host [Graham], and we hit it off. The rest is history.

How do you make your playlist?
Typically, I figure out a couple songs I want to play that night before the show, but the rest is improvised, just like the music itself. I'll put on a song and find something that sounds similar or makes a logical segue. It's in the moment.

What are your top three favorite artists?
The Grateful Dead will always have a special place in my heart and soul, for what should be obvious reasons.
moe.
is a very close second.
I still need to contemplate my third choice.

What is a lyric (or song) that describes you?
Trapped in time, and I don't know what to do
These friends of mine, I can see right through
You don't gotta tell me I don't gotta move
'Cause I'm sittin' back here sharin' in the groove
or: I was never really born, I was only sleeping ;)

What is the best concert you have seen live?
Hands down, it would have to be moe. at the Valarium 4/3/11.

If you were a type of pasta, what noodle/shape would you be and why?
The wheel. ;) Because if the thunder don't get ya, then the lightning will.
