Bringing Out the Best in Kids with Mike Baldwin Friday, September 27th!

On Friday, September 27th comedian Mike Baldwin will perform at the Side Splitter Comedy Club for the first UT Area Optimist Club fundraiser, benefitting the non-profit Boys and Girls of America.

MetroFest 2013

MetroFest Returns!! 90.3 The Rock and Metro Pulse proudly present the 2013 MetroFest, a monthly music tour benefitting the nonprofit Joy of Music School. Itchy and the Hater Tots with the Grassroots Gringos perform the first show Thursday, October 3rd at the Bowery in the Old City. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. Local band ITCHY AND THE HATER TOTS includes members of the Dirtclods and Boogie Disease! A donation of $5 gets you in the door, and all of the proceeds go to fund music programs at the Joy of Music School.

First Friday 10th Birthday

First Friday 10th Birthday Celebration!! Downtown Knoxville celebrates the 10th anniversary of First Friday with a big birthday celebration on Friday, October 4th, beginning at 5 p.m., including a chance to win an incredible downtown shopping spree. Art openings, music performances, food specials, and birthday sales from Jackson Avenue to Gay Street to Market Square highlight the festivities. The Knox County Public Library transforms the Market Square stage into an outdoor movie theatre with a free showing of The Princess Bride at dusk – bring lawn chairs and watch a classic film!
