No. 23 Tennessee claims its first win of the season at home in the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate.
The final score for the Lady Vols was 11-under, beating the second-place Oregon State by nine strokes.
This victory also marks the first win for Head Coach Diana Cantu and the first victory for the Lady Vols since 2019.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana led the Tennessee team, finishing 4-under through 54 holes. After a strong finish to the tournament, Chotikabhukkana would claim a third-place finish.
Madison Messimer continued her hot start to the season with a top-ten finish this week. Messimer finished tied for ninth at 2-under par.
Two other Lady Vols claimed top 10 spots. Thitikarn Thapasit and Lauren Nguyen both finished tied for ninth at 2-under par.
Next up for No. 23 Tennessee is the Stanford Intercollegiate, which will be played Oct. 17 to Oct. 19.
