NEW SHOW: Six O’Clock Swerve!

Hosted by longtime Knoxville music writer and supporter, Wayne Bledsoe, “The Six O’Clock Swerve” is a weekly Thursday night live concert open to the public at Barleys’ in the Old City beginning at 6:00pm, and featuring local and regional musicians and bands, many heard on The Rock.  The performance can be heard live on WUTK, as it happens!

Live debate on WUTK’s Rocky Top Round Up- Tuesday, April 23rd @ 7pm

Live debate – featuring the Speech and Debate Society – on the two sides of the issue of “Living in East Tennessee, covering the future of housing”. Cost and availability play a large role in the quality of life in our community. It will be a joint effort by media outlets across the College of Communication and Information. The coverage will include print, video, and audio news stories, special radio programming, and explainer videos on the topic of housing. Each publication will host and share its own content via its own platforms.

In The Pines 2024 Festival

The team behind Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion will bring a new event to the Birthplace of Country Music with the launch of In The Pines. The new one-day concert will debut in the Tennessee-Virginia border town of Bristol on June 1st, 2024 with a headlining performance from honky tonk savior Dwight Yoakam.
