Fall Ball is in full swing here in Knoxville. The Lady Vols softball team held a scrimmage
against King University, on Sunday afternoon, that extended to 10 innings.
Sophia Nugent started the team off strong in the bottom of the first inning by hitting a grand slam, putting the Lady Vols up 4-0.
The second inning took a similar route. The team had two big hits from Aubrey Barnhart and Bella Faw, boosting the team’s lead to 8-0.
Texas transfer Ryan Brown came in hot during the bottom of the sixth. Brown hit a home run, widening the gap to 15-0.
King University was unable to keep up with the Lady Vols, with the final score running to 28-0. The team will be on the road for their final fall ball game. They will be traveling to the
University of Kentucky, Oct. 20.
