KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On Tuesday night, Tennessee (7-6) takes on Wofford (9-3) as their last game before conference play.
The team has had a week without play following their match against Stanford and is now back in action at Thompson-Boling Arena. The beginning of this Lady Vols season has been accompanied by injuries and challenging matches early on, but if Tennessee can build on the performance they demonstrated against the No. 2 team, they will be able to turn their season around without question.
This match-up against Wofford is Tennessee’s chance to hit the ground running before SEC play. If the Lady Vols dominate and come out with a strong lead against the Terriers, then they might be able to keep the momentum going into Florida on Thursday.
Wofford has wins over teams such as Appalachian State, High Point, and Coastal Carolina, but three losses including their season opener at Youngstown State, Clemson, and the No. 8 ranked North Carolina. The game should be a win for Tennessee, and a key moral booster at that.
The game tips off at 6:30 p.m. EST on SEC+.
