After the longest two years of our lives, Knoxville Pride Fest is finally returning with a three-day long event!
From Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd, Knoxville Pride Fest will be raging on starting with a night parade on Friday. The parade will be on Gay Street, like always, but it will be starting at 7 p.m.
Saturday, from 12-8 p.m., is when the festival part of the whole shebang will be, complete with vendors and performances, at the World’s Fair Park. From 8-10 p.m., there will be a silent disco sponsored by South Press Coffee, which is a sober event, and will be at the World’s Fair Park Amphitheater.
Sunday, from 12-4 p.m., there will be brunch and shopping at the World’s Fair Park, rounding out this exciting, long anticipated weekend of pride.
Even though it’s not in June this year, it’s still important to take the time to celebrate after these last two years of isolation and illness. So, bust out your flags, rainbows, flower crowns, and ‘free dad/mom hugs’ shirts and take this time to enjoy yourself in a safe place.
Also, WUTK Volunteer Radio 90.3 The Rock will have a car in the parade, so keep an eye out for your favorite local radio station!
