Tennessee closed out its fall season in Stanford, California, at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon.
The Volunteers got off to a slow start in round one, finishing the day 15-over par. Despite the setback, they were able to finish rounds two and three at 4-over par.
The Lady Vols would finish the tournament in a tie for 12th place with Northwestern at 19-over par.
The standout freshman Madison Messimer was the low scorer for Tennessee, finishing 4-under par and tied for 10th place. This is Messimer’s third top-10 finish of the season as the Myrtle Beach native hits the winter break.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana had a strong performance, finishing 1-under par for the tournament and in a tie for 20th place. Chotikabhukkana has been a dominant force for the Lady Vols in the past and is still making that known.
